Difficulty Achieving Orgasm

I have searched and found forums about PE but nothing about having difficulty achieving orgasm. I can achieve erection and as intensity grows it feels I am approaching orgasm. Then the intensity just abates. Sometimes the erection is lost at that point but most times not, I just don’t achieve orgasm. This can happen repeatedly for an hour or more. Girlfriend is understandably happy but I need to achieve orgasm more easily. Is something wrong? It hasn’t always been this way, only the last year or so. I am 56 yrs old. Is this part of aging?

I usually only last about 5 or 7 minutes maybe but I’ve heard that most other people last longer. How do you know if theres something wrong?

Any advice for me? Every third time I have sex or so I only last under a minute. But, I’m not that nervous - why is is that this happens? I don’t get it.

So I went in for my appointment this week and found that I am way to sensative and that is causing my problem. Here is my new problem:

I was given the treatment option, but am unable to start because I currently don’t have a steady partner. I recently started dating a girl and we have yet to have sex so my question is how do I deal with this? How do a bring up the issue, what do I say, how do I approach it? Do I bring it up before we have sex or wait until the disaster of the first time and explain the situation and the treatment option that I can pursue to hopefully correct it?
